JAMES BLACKMORE

James Blackmore is best known for his role as head of London's Torchwood. He served in this capacity from it's inception up until his death during the War of Omega. 

He lost his wife Linda during the cybers industries invasion after forcably removing her from a conversion chamber. This then lead him on his path through the ranks of Torchwood, making aquantses with Howard and UNIT operative, Tony. 

James was known to not always see eye to eye with his scientific advisor the Doctor but he always keeps the interest of the people of Londons safety with the upmost importance.
